TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ONLINE RESERVATIONS:
These terms and conditions, which may be amended from time to time, apply to all of our services provided online or by email. By accessing, browsing and using our website and/or completing a reservation, you acknowledge and consent that you have read, understood and agreed to the terms and conditions below.

PRICES:
Prices are shown in Euros and include all taxes. Prices are subject to change without notice. Prices confirmed online at the time of booking are not affected by changes. ll prices on Quinta Vale do Homem’s website are shown per room for two persons for the full stay, including all taxes (such taxes are subject to change) and breakfast, unless otherwise stated on our website or confirmation email.

CONFIRMATION AND PAYMENT:
A 25% payment is required to confirm and guarantee your reservation; the remainder must be paid at the time of checkout of Quinta Vale do Homem, together with any extra expenses or discounts to which you are entitled. When you complete a reservation, you will receive an e-mail with the pre-booking payment details and the remaining amount. he payment should be made by Bank Transfer, whose data is included in the e-mail within 5 days, or up to 24 hours before the date of entry, whichever is closer. If you do not make this payment, your reservation will be cancelled.

ROOM TYPES:
The rooms usually have a maximum of 2 beds. Double room, usually has one matrimonial bed or two single beds (twin). The room can be occupied by only one person (Single) for which you will get a discount that will be included in the final payment (checkout). ou can have an extra bed or a cot, usually for a child, but that can be for an adult, whose price or gratuity depends on age. The prices of the extra bed are mentioned at the end of the booking formalization. The client should indicate in his reservation the need for extra beds, even if they are free. The accommodation of the Suite type or in the Country Houses, includes at least one extra room in addition to the room, and can be prepared for one, two or more additional people, in sofa bed or extra bed, as indicated in the characteristics of the room or house. The houses are able to prepare small meals, if mentioned in their characteristics. Quinta Vale do Homem also has a common kitchen whose use you can request to make meals.

CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS:
By making a reservation on our website, you accept and agree to the conditions of cancellation and non-attendance (no show) at this hotel. The limit for cancellation of a confirmed reservation is 72 hours (3 working days). Deposits will not be refunded if the cancellation is made within 72 hours (3 days) or less than the expected arrival date. The return of deposits for changes of reservations made within the 72-hour period prior to arrival may occur only by decision of Quinta Vale do Homem. All cancelled reservations should be informed to Quinta Vale do Homem by email or fax, up to 72 hours (3 days) before the expected arrival date. If the cancellation occurs with fewer days of the above mentioned limit the confirmed reservation will be NOT REFUNDABLE. The amount deposited for the reservation will be deducted from the transfer costs for return purposes.

CASE OF NOT ARRIVED (“No-Show”):
For reservations guaranteed with a 25% deposit, rooms are reserved until 12 o’clock on the day following the expected arrival date. After that time, the reservation will be automatically cancelled.

ON-SALE (“Overbooking”):
Despite our efforts to control the sales of rooms in the various mediators and agents, or on our website, a simultaneous reservation may happen for the same room on the same date. Should this happen, we guarantee as far as possible the replacement with a similar or higher room, notifying the customer immediately of the change. If the Quinta is for the chosen date fully booked, another date will be suggested to the client, and if this is not possible, the reservation will then be cancelled and the full amount deposited will be returned.

CONDITIONS OF OPERATION OF THE WEBSITE:
Although we use reasonable care in exercising our services and the website is installed on a server with protection and guaranteed stability of operation, we cannot be held responsible for any interruptions in the operation of the website (whether for temporary and/or partial collapse, repair, upgrade or maintenance of our website or any other reason).

LEGAL NOTICE:
In accordance with the limitations set out in these terms and conditions and to the extent permitted by law, we will only be liable for direct damages actually suffered, paid or incurred by you due to a breach of our obligations with respect to our services, up to a total amount of the overall cost of your booking, as specified in the confirmation email (either an event or a series of connected events). However and to the extent permitted by law, neither we nor any of our employees, directors, officers, agents, subsidiaries, affiliated companies, distributors, affiliated (distribution) partners, licensees, agents or other persons involved in creating, sponsoring, promoting or otherwise making available the Website and its contents shall be liable for (i) any punitive damages or losses, special, indirect or consequential, any loss of production, loss of profit, loss of income, loss of contract, loss or damage of influence or reputation, loss of right to compensation, (ii) any inaccuracy in relation to the (descriptive) information (including rates, availability and ratings) of the hotel as it appears available on our website, (iii) the services provided or the products offered by the hotel, (iv) any damages (direct, indirect, consequential or punitive), losses or costs incurred, incurred or paid by you, as, resulting from or in connection with the use, inability to use or delay of our website, or (v) for any (personal) loss, death, damage to property or other (direct, indirect, special, consequential or punitive) damage, losses or costs incurred, incurred or paid by you, whether due to (legal) acts, mistakes, offences, (gross) negligence, intentional misconduct, omissions, non-compliance, misinformation, tort or absolute liability for or attributable (in whole or in part) to the hotel (its employees, directors, officers, agents, representatives or affiliated companies), including any (partial) cancellation, overbooking, strike, force majeure or any other event beyond our control.

GENERAL PROVISIONS:
Unless otherwise stated, the software necessary for our services, available or used by our website and the intellectual property rights (including copyright) in the content, information and material on our website are the property of Quinta Vale do Homem, its suppliers or providers. To the extent permitted by law, these terms and conditions and the performance of our services shall be governed and construed in accordance with Portuguese law and any dispute arising from these general terms and conditions and our services shall be submitted to the competent courts of the district of Amares, Portugal.
